I spent half of my junior year at the New York campus, I was an undergraduate researcher at the Future Reality Lab in the spring. I spent the summer at NYU Tandon doing research about parameters that affect people's decision making process with Professor Oded Nov, the topic is HCI on decision making.
I studied at Buenos Aires for one semester, where I learnt Spanish and studied the control of media in the history of Southern America. I met some immigrants from China of my ages there and befriended with them.I spent the winter (summer in the southern sphere) travelling through Argentina Chile Peru and Mexico.
I didn't go to a traditional Chinese university, but made a great decision to join NYUShanghai, where I decided to pursue my majors in Computer Science and Interactive Media Arts. I found my interests in Mixed Reality and New Media. I also ran the Shanghainese club for the sophomore year where we immerse ourselves into the Shanghainese language and culture.
I moved to Tianjin for high school. The selection criteria of "gaokao" (Chinese College Entrance Admission) differs in provinces, and Tianjing is with one of the most favorable criteria. Higher education is deemed so importantly in China, and resourses are not distributed so evenly, people would move to another place just for an exam.
I grew up in Zhuozhou, a small town in the junction of Beijing and Hebei, I attend primary school there and met Zining Zhang who later became my significant other. I moved to Tianjin after my 13th birthday.
